How is product data updated from my source system to EffectConnect?

Your product data in EffectConnect is automatically updated based on the catalog from your webshop or source system. How this works depends on your integration.

Option 1: EffectConnect retrieves your product data

With some integrations, EffectConnect retrieves the catalog from your webshop or source system at set intervals. 

In exceptional cases, we can trigger a new import. This may be necessary, for example, when incorrect product data or prices are showing in EffectConnect.

Option 2: Your source system sends product data to EffectConnect

With other integrations, your webshop or source system sends the catalog to EffectConnect, for example via the EffectConnect API.

In this case, EffectConnect cannot trigger a new import. If you want to refresh your product data, you need to re-export the catalog from your source system to EffectConnect.
