When you create mapping groups in EffectConnect, you are essentially creating a link between your product information, and the information that the marketplace needs. There is certain information that is always forwarded, such as a description and a title. This is transferred 1:1 from your webshop to EffectConnect.
When EffectConnect exports this information to the marketplace, we will filter out some formatting, to respect the rules of the marketplace on the one hand, and to prevent your information from coming through the marketplace incorrectly on the other.
Usually, information such as bold text or bullet points is preserved, but HTML codes such as an iframe, embedded video, or a link to an image are filtered out.
We do not convert your text to plain text or remove all formatting unless the marketplace explicitly asks for it.
