How do I use custom placeholders?

In the repricer, you can use placeholders, which are abbreviations you can use in your formulas, which represent a price or value from your source data. For example, to use the purchase price in your formulas, you can type PI. If you enter PI*2, your purchase price is doubled.

Standard placeholders are available for your source data. For example, your purchase price, selling price, storage price, and competitor's price.

Want to use your own data in a placeholder? That is possible!

You can use custom placeholders in the repricer. In this way, you can link your own data to a custom placeholder, which you then use in the formulas of your repricer. For example, on your webshop, you can add an attribute to your products where you add the exact shipping costs for each product. You can then use these shipping costs with a custom placeholder in your formulas.

Important to keep in mind is that your custom placeholders will be read as euro cents! For that reason, we advise you to also write all the necessary information in Eurocents in your source data so that it is copied 1:1 in your custom placeholder.

For example, do you have a price of €6 in your source data, and have you linked it to a custom placeholder? Then the placeholder will be read as 6, which is recognized as 6 euro cents. If your source data is set up this way, and you don't have the possibility to change it, you can solve this by multiplying your custom placeholder by 100, which will make the 6 cents * 100, and thus end up with 600 euro cents. Just make sure you put this calculation in parentheses. For example (PHA*100).
