Shipping methods, you've probably seen the term come up before, but what exactly does it mean?
When you receive an order in your webshop, your order usually also receives a shipping method. This is actually nothing more than a label that you attach to the order. Based on these 'labels' you can then filter your orders and send them out in the right way.
You can also use the shipping method to automate your shipments. For example, you can separate letterbox packages from parcel post, and large pallet shipments can be automatically forwarded to another courier service.
Good to know: not all online shops use shipping methods. If, for example, you pack all your parcels yourself and send them via one delivery service, it is usually not necessary to use shipping methods.
