Basic troubleshoot - New or changed product information is not visible on the marketplace/channel

Here you will find a step-by-step plan that can be followed to find out why new or changed product information is not visible on the marketplace/channel.

New or changed product information can sometimes not show up online on the marketplace due to various reasons. This may, for example, have to do with a setting in the plugin or perhaps that exports have been disabled within EffectConnect.

Below you can find a step-by-step check for new or changed product info that does not become visible on the marketplaces.

Source/Webshop

  • Is the new or changed product information visible in the webshop?
    If your webshop uses storeviews, make sure that the products are linked to the correct storeview so EffectConnect can import the product information.
  • Has there already been an export to EffectConnect?
    Product exports to EffectConnect can take place up to every hour, or at least every 24 hours. For more information about synchronization times, you can click here. If you use a EffectConnect plugin it is possible to configure synchronization intervals. 

 

EffectConnect

  • Is the product information visible in EffectConnect?
    If data is imported in EffectConnect succesfully, the products will show up in the product overview. 

  • Does the product contain a mapping within EffectConnect? 
    A mapping within EffectConnect is sometimes necessary to export data to marketplaces. More information about the necessaty of mapping can be found here.

  • Is the channel configured correctly? 
    EffectConnect can send data ensuring that the channel and product/content synchronisation are active.

  • Do the logs of the export contain any errors?
    Almost every channel in EffectConnect does have the possibility to check the export logs. You can find some different errors in these logs.

Marketplace/Channel

  • Does the seller account of the marketplace/channel show any errors?
    Some marketplaces/channels do show errors if product info is not correct, incomplete or yet has to be processed.

  • Can you find the new/changed product info in the seller account?
    Maketplaces can take some time before changes in the product info are pushed to the front-end. If the information has been accepted and processed, changes in the product info should be visible in the seller account though.
