Setting your delivery time to sent to the marketplace
Delivery time and lead time to ship are two important concepts related to the shipping process. While they may seem similar, there are distinct differences between these terms. Let's take a moment to explain these terms in more detail.
Delivery time
Delivery time is the amount of time it takes for a product to be delivered from the seller's warehouse or fulfillment center to the customer's doorstep once the order has been shipped.
Delivery time attribute: This is where you can set the attribute that stores the delivery time for your products. This attribute is not mandatory.
Default delivery time: Set your standard delivery promise here. If you haven't specified a different delivery promise through the mapping, we will use this as the default.
Lead time to ship
Lead time to ship refers to the amount of time it takes for a product to be shipped to the customer after they have completed their online purchase.
Lead time to ship attribute: This is where you can set the attribute that stores the lead time to ship for your products. This attribute is not mandatory.
Default lead time to ship (in days): In the "Default lead time to ship (in days)" field, you can enter the number of days it takes for you to process an order and prepare it for shipment. This will be the default setting for all products that do not have a specific lead time attribute filled in. It allows for a fallback option in case the attribute is not provided.
Logistic class: You can select the logistic class for your products in this section. The available options in the dropdown menu are based on the settings in your seller account on the marketplace.
Mapping
By establishing a mapping you can align the delivery promise or lead time to ship provided by the marketplace with your own delivery times.
You can choose to utilize the delivery time mapping feature based on the delivery times from your webshop. Alternatively, you have the option to create a personalized delivery time using your own data by utilizing a custom attribute.
Please refer to this article if you want to create a custom attribute for your delivery time or lead time to ship.
You also have the option to create a mapping for your delivery time based on specific days and times. This allows you to create rules that will only apply during certain periods, so you can automatically adjust your delivery times. It's a convenient feature that gives you more control over your shipping process.
