Settings & configuration

For general information about adding and setting up a channel in EffectConnect please go to how to configure a channel in the Channel Manager.

How to create or enrich product data on Otto?

You can create products by creating a mapping group in EffectConnect. Mapping is mandatory for Otto.

If we create content at Otto and the EAN is already known, then EffectConnect will automatically link the already known EAN to your EAN. As with other marketplaces, this may result in that you see content on Otto created by another seller instead of your own.

productReference

Otto uses productReference to group offers (f.e. colours or sizes).

Within each productReference, the following attributes must be similar in the mapping:

Brand, Category, ProductLine and Manufacturer.

➕ Read more about creating mapping groups, and how this works, read this article.

Return Track & Trace

Sellers are required to provide Otto with a return T&T when completing an order. This means that orders have 2 tracking codes: 1 for the order itself, and 1 for a possible return.

It is mandatory to fill in the return T&T in EffectConnect. An order will not be logged off at Otto until the return T&T is completed.

There are two ways to fill in these tracking codes:

1. On the Order Detail page

2. On the order summary with a CSV file (batch method)
