About Praxis and Brico

Maxeda DIY Group is the largest Do-It-Yourself retailer in the Benelux, including Praxis in the Netherlands and Brico in Belgium. These retail chains are represented by 339 stores, both owned and franchised. Maxeda DIY Group has more than 7,000 employees, of which ± 60% work in the Netherlands.

Good to know about product information on Praxis and Brico

If your products are known at Praxis and/or Brico in the Netherlands or Belgium, you do not need to create this product information again.  This basically means that you don't have to create a mapping (or even enable the 'product synchronization') with product information for Praxis and/or Brico, if your products are already created on the marketplace.

How to create or enrich product data on Praxis and Brico?

You can create products on Praxis and Brico by creating mapping groups in EffectConnect.

kb-info Products must be mapped simultaneously for Praxis and Brico. If you want to exclude products for Praxis or Brico (.i.e. because of brand restrictions in NL or BE), you can email Maxeda the list of EANs to exclude. When excluded, you can  also exclude the products in the product selection in EffectConnect.

kb-info Good to know: For Praxis it is necessary to have Dutch data imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language with a Praxis channel. 

kb-info Good to know: For Brico it is necessary to have Dutch and French data imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language with a Brico channel. 

kb-info Good to know: It may take some time before your (new) product information is visible on this marketplace. This is because a manual check is done by the marketplace itself.

Do you have questions about the lead time or processing of your product information? Then please contact the marketplace itself. EffectConnect is not able to speed this up.

About the synchronization times

A way to check if your offers and content is processed by Praxis and/or Brico


Go to the seller dashboard.

To check your offers navigate to 'my inventory > import from file > track offer imports'. 

To check your content, go to 'my inventory > import from file > track product imports'. 


On these pages, you can find the reports that Praxis and Brico has to show if products are processed, accepted, or rejected. 

Troubleshoot

I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Praxis and Brico

You can generate new keys inside your Praxis and Brico seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your account manager at Maxeda.

Products are shown double in my Praxis or Brico account, what now?

This normally happens when you've changed the SKU's that are being used. In this way, products are created again, and the old ones will remain in your dashboard which leads to double products. 

The way to solve this is to remove the products with the 'old SKU's. If this happened with a lot of products, you can empty your inventory at Praxis or Brico and request our customer success department to refill your inventory by re-sending the offers

My (new) products don't show up in my Praxis or Brico account

  • Check if you created a mapping, which includes all the mandatory data. Images must meet the following requirements:

Also the images cannot be larger then a maximum of 5000 Kilobytes
  • Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect
  • Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for further assistance. Please keep in mind that it can take a few days before products show up online in your Praxis and Brico dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by Praxis, contact your account manager at Maxeda.
