About V&D
V&D, being a real Dutch brand, has a brand awareness of almost 100%. This online marketplace focuses on Dutch men and women aging from 40 years and older. V&D wants to be a valued online shop, by offering a personal touch, a reliable name and an uncomplicated shopping experience, so 40 plus consumers can find everything they are looking for.
Please keep in mind that you must have a seller account with the marketplace, without an account you cannot sell. Each marketplace may have its own terms and conditions, always read them carefully before you start selling.
Good to know before start selling on V&D
For the onboarding (connecting and activating) of a partner, a one-time fee of €499 ex. VAT will be charged. In addition to the onboarding, you will receive a one-time free insert in the newsletter
of V&D.
These costs need to be paid to V&D, not EffectConnect.
How to set up the connection to V&D?
When would like to connect your EffectConnect account to V&D, you need to contact Joyce from V&D to establish the connection from their side (you'll find her contact details below). To set up the connection, V&D needs API keys of EffectConnect to connect their platform to our software.
Follow the next steps to make sure V&D receives all the information they need to establish the connection.
- Navigate in EffectConnect to 'API > API Keys management' in the left side menu
- Click on 'Create API key' on the top right of the screen
- Create a new API key (key type needs to be set to 'single-channel key')
- Go to the tab with permissions, add the V&D channel and select the following permissions
- Read order list
- Create order
- Update order
- Read order - Click on 'save'
- Re-open the key and send the public en private keys to V&D.
Please keep the synchronization in your EffectConnect channel disabled until V&D informs you to enable the synchronization. Also, V&D will send you an API key in return, which our customer success department will fill in for you. So once you receive it, please contact our support department so we can assist you.
How to create or enrich product data on V&D?
You can create products on V&D by creating a mapping group in EffectConnect. To read more about creating mapping groups, and how this works, read this article and read the part of 'creating a mapping for a legacy channel'.
Good to know: for V&D, it is necessary to have Dutch data imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language for a V&D channel.

Troubleshoot
I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring V&D
You can generate new keys inside your V&D seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your account manager at V&D.
Products are shown double in my V&D account, what now?
This normally happens when you've changed the SKU's that are being used, or changed your data source data is used for your products. In this way, products are created again, and the old ones will remain in your dashboard which leads to double products.
The way to solve this is to remove the products with the old SKU's. If this happens with a lot of products, you can empty your inventory at V&D and request our customer success department to refill your inventory by re-sending the offers.
My (new) products don't show up in my V&D account
- Check if you created a mapping which includes all the mandatory data.
- Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect
- Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for assistance. Please keep in mind that it can take a few days before products show up online in your V&D dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by V&D, contact your account manager at V&D.
