Why is my product information not updated on the marketplace?

When your product information is not automatically updated on a marketplace, check the following points of attention to see if this solves your problem.


  • Have you created a valid mapping group in EffectConnect which has all the mandatory information filled in? With a correctly filled mapping group, EffectConnect will send your product information to the marketplace.
  • Is the product synchronization enabled in your channel settings so EffectConnect will export your product information? You can check this in the channel settings of your channel.
  • Make sure that you don't use double references for your product identifiers. This means that you're using duplicate SKU or EAN codes on your webshop. When this is the case, the marketplace can reject your complete content file. You need to fix this on your webshop, disable these products in EffectConnect, or exclude them from your product selections. 
  • If the mapping is completed, and the synchronization is enabled, are the synchronization times respected
  • Are you allowed to change product information on the marketplace? In some situations, you can not change product information because you are not the owner of the product on the marketplace, the marketplace blocks information changes or other reasons.
