About Fnac BE

Fnac ranks among France's biggest marketplaces and operates under the Fnac Darty Group. What started as a destination for books, music, and electronics has grown into a genuinely wide-ranging catalogue: high-tech, home appliances, toys, sports, home and living, and a solid refurbished segment.

Fnac acquired the Darty Group in 2016, which also includes several other marketplaces, such as Vanden Borre.

Requesting a seller account

  • Complete the online registration form at marketplace.fnacdarty.com.
  • You must be able to provide after-sales service in French.

Make sure you have a professional seller account before connecting Fnac BE through EffectConnect.

Settings & configuration

  • Go to Apps > App store in your EffectConnect environment
  • Search for the Fnac BE app
  • Three apps will appear, click:

  • Click on 'more info' > 'Create an integration with this marketplace'

Settings that only apply to Fnac BE:

  1. Dutch/French product description attribute
    Go to Settings > Offers
    Select the attribute in EffectConnect that contains the Dutch and/or French product description here.
  2. Refurbished and second-hand
    Go to Settings > Offers
    Fnac BE allows you to sell both new and refurbished or second-hand products.
    You can specify the condition or state of the product under Attribute for product condition.
  3. Sustainability attributes and eco-participation
    Multiple attributes are available under Settings > Product offer.
  4. Free shipping
    Go to Settings > Delivery time
    Here you can indicate whether free shipping applies and, if so, to which products.

Adding or enriching content on Fnac BE

Fnac BE does not offer automatic content synchronization. You therefore
need to upload your product information manually in .csv format through your Fnac BE seller account.

Make sure all content is written in French before uploading the file.

Troubleshoot

My (new) products don't show up in my Fnac FBEaccount

  • Check whether the products are included in the product selection for Fnac BE in EffectConnect.
  • Check whether the products have stock.
  • Check in EffectConnect whether any error messages are returned on the offers.
  • Check whether the synchronization times are respected.
  • If the products still don't show up, contact us for further support.
