About Fruugo

Fruugo offers an array of opportunities to explore the European as well as the worldwide online market. You can sell in as many as 32 countries. Fruugo also offers the possibility to automatically translate product information into 17 different languages. Fruugo serves over 1 million happy, worldwide customers. 

You can reach those consumers without having to make large investments, but this could cause errors if you don't use proper automation. You can easily reach those consumers by using EffectConnect to integrate your webshop with Fruugo today. Extra revenue, without extra efforts!

Please keep in mind that you must have a seller account with the marketplace, without an account you cannot sell. Each marketplace may have its own terms and conditions, always read them carefully before you start selling. 

Good to know about product information requirements

When you want to sell products on Fruugo that aren't online yet, or you want to enrich product information, you can manually add this information to your Fruugo seller account, or you can use our mapping tool to synchronize product data towards Fruugo. Important to keep in mind is that Fruugo has certain conditions for sending in the product information. One of these conditions is that you can't use images that contain a watermark.

Good to know about selling in different countries

It is possible to sell with a Fruugo channel in different countries. You can simply create a new channel for each country in EffectConnect and reuse the same credentials. 

Good to know: if you want to use different delivery times for the different countries, you'll need separate seller accounts at Fruugo, you'll have to create a new channel for each country in EffectConnect.

 

How to create or enrich product data on Fruugo?

There are 2 things you need to do to create or enrich product data on Fruugo.

  1. Create product mappings

    You can create products on Fruugo by creating a mapping group in EffectConnect. To read more about creating mapping groups, and how this works, read this article and read the part of 'creating a mapping for a legacy channel'. 

    Please keep in mind that mapping groups are mandatory to get your products online. Please pay attention to a correct and good-filled mapping group, before you send your product URL to your account manager (next step).

    kb-info Good to know: For Fruugo it is necessary to have Dutch data imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language with a Fruugo channel. 

  2. Send your product feed URL to Fruugo

    Once you configured your channel in EffectConnect by your needs and wishes, you can activate all the synchronizations. After 24 hours, there will be a feed URL visible in the same channel configuration. This feed URL needs to be sent to your account manager at Fruugo. This is something you need to do yourself.

Troubleshoot

I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Fruugo

You can generate new keys inside your Fruugo seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your account manager at Fruugo.

My (new) products don't show up in my Fruugo account

  • Check if you correctly configured your channel.
  • Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect
  • Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for further assistance. Please keep in mind that it can take a few days before products show up online in your Fruugo dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by Fruugo, contact your account manager at Fruugo.
