About Fruugo

By connecting with Fruugo via EffectConnect, you can effortlessly reach these consumers without the need for substantial investments. 

Requesting a Seller Account

  • Register as seller: click here
  • Fruugo provides an open marketplace environment
  • If you create separate seller accounts in Fruugo for different handling times or prices, you must also create separate channels in EffectConnect.

Settings & Configuration

For general information about adding and setting up a channel in EffectConnect please go to how to configure a channel in the Channel Manager.


kb-info Fruugo obtains your product information through a product feed that is generated by EffectConnect. Updates regarding stock levels, orders, and shipments are handled efficiently via API calls.


To get your products online, follow these two steps:

  1. Create product mappings
    You can list products on Fruugo by creating a mapping group in EffectConnect. Note that mapping your content is essential for getting your products online, so ensure they are accurately completed before sending your product URL to your account manager.

  2. Send your product feed URL to Fruugo
    After configuring your channel in EffectConnect, activate the synchronizations. Within 24 hours, a feed URL will appear in the channel configuration. You must send this feed URL to your Fruugo account manager.

Channel settings unique to Fruugo

Mandatory settings that concern the Fruugo channel only in comparison to other channels in EffectConnect are: 

  • Feed link for product generation
    Go to Settings > Feed URL
    Product information is generated in a feed. You will need to send the feed URL to your contact at Fruugo, enabling them to access and retrieve your product information from here.
  • Product ID attribute
    Go to Settings > Product ID attribute
    Add the parent product ID. This value helps categorize and manage your product families effectively.
  • Delivery time
    Go to Settings > Delivery time
    Specify your handling time in EffectConnect, and ensure that your delivery time is also entered in your Fruugo seller account.

     

  • Language

    Please note that you  must provide content in the same language set in your Fruugo account. For instance, if the Fruugo account is set to Dutch, the content must also be submitted in Dutch to determine the source language for feed translation.

Add or Enrich Content on Fruugo

Extra information about attributes in the content mapping

      • Title
        The title must include the brand, model, or part number commonly used to identify the product.

        It should not reference price, shipping, stock, special offers, or promotional text, nor should it include size or color details for grouped products.

         

      • Image URL 1 (main image)

        • Min. 400px x 400px or larger

        • White background mandatory

        • Placeholders or watermarks is not permitted

        • If the name of the image does not change, the image will not be updated.

      • Description
        A detailed explanation of the product and its features. Use sentences that begin with a capital letter.

        Avoid including URLs, email addresses, phone numbers, prices, shipping information, or references to activities not conducted on our website.

      • Package weight

        • This field is mandatory if your shipping rules depend on total order weight.
          Refer to Shipping > Shipping Costs in your Fruugo account for details.

        • For quantity-based shipping, all products must have a standard weight of 1000 grams (e.g., enter 1905). Specify the shipping weight in grams, without decimal points or units.

      • Attribute 1-10

        Use these for relevant attributes or safety information required by Fruugo. Communicate the content used in these fields with Fruugo and avoid listing product features like:

            • CE Mark

            • Ingredients

            • Serial Number

            • Manufacturer Part Number

            • Model Number

            • Batch Number

            • Safety Attestation

Troubleshoot

I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Fruugo

You can generate new keys inside your Fruugo seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your account manager at Fruugo.

My (new) products don't show up in my Fruugo account

  • Check if you have created a mapping that includes all required information.
  • Review the product feed for any discrepancies.
  • Verify in EffectConnect whether any error messages are returned regarding the offers or content.
  • If your products still do not appear online, please reach out to us for further assistance.
