About bol
Bol is the largest online marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium, welcoming millions of customers and external sellers. Since 2012, EffectConnect has been collaborating closely with bol providing reliable, scalable automation for bol sellers.
Requesting a seller account
- Bol has an open listing
- Go to the Bol partnerplatform and sign up as a seller, click here
Note: make sure you have a commercial seller account before connecting to bol via EffectConnect
Settings & configuration
For general information about adding and setting up a channel in EffectConnect please go to how to configure a channel in the Channel Manager.
Settings that concern the bol channel only:
- Settings for Economic operators
Go to Settings > Offers
Once you have added your economic operators in bol, link them here to your offers within EffectConnect. - Import LVB orders
Go to Settings > Orders and shipments
If you use bol’s external fulfilment service (LVB), you can decide whether or not to import these LVB orders into EffectConnect.
How to create or enrich product data on Bol?
You can easily add or enrich content (product information) by mapping it in EffectConnect.
Go to the bol channel in EffectConnect and choose the tab Content mapping
Good to know: for bol, it is necessary to have data in Dutch imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language with a bol channel.

Troubleshoot
I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Bol
You can generate new keys inside your bol seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your bol account manager.
My (new) products don't show up in my bol account
- Check if you created a mapping which includes all the mandatory data.
- Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect.
- Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for assistance. Please keep in mind that it can take a few days before products show up online in your bol dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by bol , contact your account manager at bol.
