Selling on bol offers many opportunities. bol is one of the  most popular stores in the Netherlands and Belgium and it might be the leading store online. They serve over 10 million consumers from the Netherlands and Belgium in more than 20 shopping categories. 

Please keep in mind that you must have a seller account with the marketplace, without an account you cannot sell. Each marketplace may have its own terms and conditions, always read them carefully before you start selling. 

How to create or enrich product data on Bol?

To create new products, or enrich existing product data on bol, you can do this via Bol itself or create mapping rules in EffectConnect. You can configure this in the channel manager. To read more about creating mapping rules, read this article.

Please keep in mind that when you want to create variant products (for product families) you'll at least need to fill in an option, color, or size in the mapping rules. 

kb-info Good to know: for bol, it is necessary to have Dutch data imported into EffectConnect. It is not possible to create or enrich product information, using another language with a bol.com channel.

Troubleshoot

I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Bol

You can generate new keys inside your bol seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your bol account manager.

 

My (new) products don't show up in my bol account

  • Check if you created a mapping which includes all the mandatory data.
  • Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect.
  • Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for assistance. Please keep in mind that it can take a few days before products show up online in your bol dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by bol , contact your account manager at bol.
