About Mediamarkt
MediaMarkt is part of the MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group, originally a German retail chain. They now sell consumer electronics in 13 countries, in more than 1000 stores and webshops. Their goal is to become the number 1 retailer in consumer electronics. Becoming a marketplace was the next logic step in their strategy.
Please keep in mind that you must have a seller account with the marketplace, without an account you cannot sell. Each marketplace may have its own terms and conditions, always read them carefully before you start selling.

Make sure you have a commercial seller account before you connect MediaMarkt in EffectConnect.

Settings specific to the MediaMarkt channel in EffectConnect include:

Product Condition Settings
Here, you can map the values from an attribute to the product condition for your listings. If no selection is made, if the value is left empty, or if you only have one condition for all your products, the default values will be applied automatically.
- Cut-off time
Go to MediaMarkt > Delivery time> Cut-off time
Set a cut-off time to indicate that orders placed before this time will be shipped the same day and delivered the next day (Next Day Delivery feature).
On weekends or on weekdays after the cut-off time has passed, it will automatically display that delivery will occur within 1-2 business days. If a cut-off time is set for an offer, this information will be exported to MediaMarkt. If no cut-off time is configured, the standard processing time (lead time to ship) will be communicated instead.
Add or enrich content on MediaMarkt
You can easily add or enrich content (product information) by mapping it in EffectConnect.
Go to the MediaMarkt channel in EffectConnect > tab Content mapping
For Mediamarkt, content may only be created or enriched in the language of the country of sale. Need a translation? Use our handy Translation module.
It may take some time before new content is visible on the marketplace due to manual checking. For questions about lead time or processing, please contact MediaMarkt itself. EffectConnect cannot accelerate this.
About the synchronization times
A Mediamarkt channel synchronizes according to the default synchronization times EffectConnect maintains. To read more about our synchronization intervals, read this article.
A way to check if your offers and content is processed by Mediamarkt
- Go to the seller dashboard.
- To check your offers navigate to 'my inventory > import from file > track offer imports'.
- To check your content, go to 'my inventory > import from file > track product imports'.
Troubleshoot
I don't have, or forgot, my API keys for configuring Mediamarkt
You can generate new keys inside your Mediamarkt seller central. If you don't know where to find them, please contact your account manager at Mediamarkt.
Products are shown double in my Mediamarkt account, what now?
This normally happens when you've changed the SKU's that are being used. In this way, products are created again, and the old ones will remain in your dashboard which leads to double products.
The way to solve this is to remove the products with the 'old SKU's. If this happened with a lot of products, you can empty your inventory at Mediamarkt and request our customer success department to refill your inventory by re-sending the offers.
My (new) products don't show up in my Mediamarkt account
- Check if you created a mapping, which includes all the mandatory data.
- Check if the products are enabled in EffectConnect
- Check if the synchronization times are respected. If the products still don't show up online, contact us for further assistance.
Please note that it can take a few days before products show up online in your Mediamarkt dashboard. If you need any help regarding new products that need to be accepted by Mediamarkt, contact your account manager at Mediamarkt.
